Walking pedagogic tours
A guided walk through the Lab and its creative technologies — the workshops, the IEL, the materials library — for anyone on campus curious about what a third kind of space can do. The gentlest way in.
The Lab's public workshop offer — from a first walk through the space to paid intro courses. Every one is a way in: come once, and you can come back. Register your interest and we'll tell you when the next session opens.

Hands-on sessions in the making spaces: an afternoon with a technology, a material, or a technique, taught by the team. No experience needed — you leave having made something.
Short, welcoming sessions run on University Open Days, giving prospective students and visitors a real taste of the Lab in a single sitting. For adults; teachers and guardians bringing a group are welcome, and under-18s take part with a responsible adult.
Deeper introductory courses — making, and virtual production in the IEL — for those who want to go further than a single session. Paid, structured, and open beyond the University.
Our public workshops are for adults (18+). Under-18s are welcome only as part of a school or family group led by a responsible adult, and we follow the University of Westminster safeguarding policy. Booking is never opened to a minor directly.
